I have many years experience in clinical research in the areas of dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders. I've also worked with aging populations in a therapy capacity at a number of my sites. I developed this service to better support individuals suffering from aging concerns, as well as the challenges that their caregivers and loved ones are experiencing. Through a combination of family sessions and non-invasive observation periods (which are often conducted through zoom), I create a behavior plan which can address challenges with memory and organization and planning, improve quality of life, foster positive interactions and communication, decrease difficulty transitioning throughout daily activities, and provide outlets for processing the losses associated with areas of functioning for the aging individual, as well as the hardships associated with caregiver burden and strain.

If you have a child or adolescent who is struggling with behavioral challenges, outbursts, or difficulties with siblings; let me help! The initial steps include 2 different observation periods (typically scheduled around when the problem behaviors occur such as dinner time, getting ready for bed, going to sleep) and a parent session. After those steps have been completed then I develop a behavior plan to help decrease acting out behaviors and time-outs and increase the likelihood of a child's ability to self-regulate, remain calm during transitions, express themselves more adeptly, and better understand their emotions and boundaries. I will meet with parents to discuss the plan in detail and can schedule follow-up sessions or observation times when it's needed and helpful.
